How the Redesign Process Works
Redesigning your existing diamond into a stunning new piece involves a thoughtful and collaborative design process.
Step 1: Share Your Vision
We’ll start by discussing your goals.
I take the time to understand what you love and what you don’t love about your current ring. For example, one client told me, ‘I want a simple setting that makes my diamond sparkle the most.’ It’s all about creating a design that’s meaningful and practical for everyday wear.
Step 2: Preview the New Design
Are you nervous about making sure the design is perfect?
After we have discussed the design and payment is submitted, we'll create a photorealistic CAD rendering of the design prior to actually making your ring.
No one has ever wanted to turn back after this step. It allows your vision for your dream ring to come to life! This way you can be 100% confident in what we'll be creating for you. While a real ring does not compare to what’s shown on the rendering since it doesn't show sparkle, it does come very close and it indicates the overall proportions.
The GREAT news is that you will be working one-on-one with the artist who will be setting your diamond (Vanessa), so there will be no disconnect with regard to exactly what you want for your ring.
Traditionally, with jewelry stores you would be working with a salesperson who then has a jeweler make it, which can lead to communication issues. You won't deal with that extra step here.

Step 3: Handcrafting Your Custom Ring
Your custom redesign is brought to life in our studio.
Every detail is handled with care, from setting the center diamond to polishing the final piece. I source and hand pick loose diamonds to match the center diamond so the overall look of the ring is seamless and spectacular.
Most jewelers don't put much thought into small diamonds, but the choice and technique of the placement of these little diamonds in the setting make a big impact.
I personally sculpt each claw prong to flow seamlessly with the facets of the diamond. It’s a time-intensive process, but it makes all the difference in creating a sleek, refined look.
I’m a total romantic at heart, which is why I love redesigning engagement rings. Each piece carries a story, and my job is to honor that while creating something extraordinary for my clients.
