Preparing For Your Appointment
You might be a little nervous about visiting our studio for the first time to discuss your custom diamond ring (most people are!), but I guarantee there is no need to be nervous.
If you read our Client Reviews, you’ll learn that our studio is completely different from typical jewelry stores with sales staff. You get the privilege working one-on-one with the designer who will personally make your custom ring.
When you first arrive, I’ll give you a tour of the studio. Generally, it’s an industry standard to have secretive back rooms, but I prefer clients to be a part of the creation process, so you’ll have the privilege of visiting every room in our studio.
We’ll have a *gorgeous* diamond selection prepared to view & discuss together, and I personally look forward to collaborating with you on creating your dream custom diamond ring.
Frequently Asked Questions Before Your First Appointment
Q: How long does a custom diamond ring take to create?
Custom rings are completed within approximately 6 weeks after you’ve selected the diamond and provided payment.
*Rush orders can sometimes be accommodated depending on the design – please check with the studio if you have a proposal coming up sooner than 6 weeks.
Once you’ve selected a diamond, we require at least a 50% deposit to get started making your custom ring. Most people take care of the full payment upfront, but we only require 50% down, so you can simply choose whichever works best for you.

Q: After we finalize the design and do the Diamond Selection, how long do I have to make a decision?
A: Most people make the decision to move forward during the appointment, but once we’ve shown you the Diamond Selection, we offer a 5 day courtesy hold on the diamonds before they have to go back on the open market. This holding period is so no one else can have them while you make a confident decision – we never want you to feel pressured during your appointment.
Q: What Methods of Payment do you accept?
A. We accept Check, Bank Wire, Cash, Visa/Mastercard. We also offer financing. (For Check, Bank Wire or Cash, you will receive a 1.5% discount off the ring’s subtotal.)
You won't need to make a payment during your appointment. Once you select the diamond, we will later email you a Purchase Agreement by the next business day, which will outline the details of your custom design and chosen diamond.
Q: What is your return policy for the ring setting?
All custom rings are non-refundable, however, if for some reason your new fiancé isn’t thrilled with the design of her ring that you surprised her with, we’ll make a new ring setting to her specifications if returned within 15 days of receiving the original engagement ring. In that case, the original cost of the ring setting materials would be put toward the new design and additional costs would only occur if she wants to add more and/or larger diamonds.
(We’ve NEVER had this happen though – even with the pickiest of clients. We’re pretty confident she’ll love it!)
Each custom ring is created from scratch upon order, and every effort will be made to ensure that her ring is exactly what you requested. You will have the opportunity to see your ring from various 3-D views in the CAD model before actually creating the ring, so you know exactly what to expect with the final product. This will allow you to be 100% confident in the design prior to us actually making it.
Q: Are your diamonds Conflict-Free?
A. Yes – Our diamonds are guaranteed to be conflict-free based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees with partners who are known to us and share a kindred commitment to humanitarian rights. We only work with diamond dealers who participate in the Kimberley Process. This process is a commitment to removing conflict diamonds from the conflict supply chain.
